PoE eliminates the requirement for a dedicated electrical outlet to power wireless devices. This allows for flexibility in situating wireless devices where AC power is difficult to access and lowers installation costs. The FS108P works by providing power and data from a single point over a single Cat-5 (Ethernet) cable.
